TIData DDELink lets you send email from within your DDE-enabled application.

Outlook can be accessed from within other programs using MAPI. Not all programs support MAPI, but some do support Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE). Yet, Outlook does not provide DDE. Moreover, the latest Security Update blocks other applications from sending email with Outlook.

TIData DDELink provides a DDE socket that gathers email commands and sends an email to your Email (SMTP) provider. It makes it possible to automatically create and send email messages with Excel, Word, Omnis Classic, COBOL, DOS ... Create and send email messages in a glitch with e.g. Omnis 7 Classic. Recover your old software and bring it up to date.

The DDELink program installs itself in the system tray. It's easy to use and provides debugging features.

TIData DDELink is shareware. There is no time limit, but the unregistered version will show some publicity at the end of each email. Send any donation to Jurgen@tidata.com with PayPal, and you will get an unlocking key.

Improved in version 2.1.0

•  Multiple attachments possible
•  Debugged a few minor problems
•  SMTP testing is included in the Properties screen
•  Feedback is now possible. A text formatted ticket is saved on the disk, when testing the software, or after an email has been sent. You can now test if sending the email was successfull, or if a connection to the SMTP server can be made.

•  Solved a few bugs on the SMTP connection and the ticket generation
•  Added warning information when no return password is given. Most SMTP servers choke on this.

•  Bugfix: you can now use ip addresses for an SMTP server (e.g. 192.168.1.254). Previously only names were accepted (e.g. smtp.myhost.com).
•  This version is available as a bugfix from version 2.1.1. to 2.1.2. Download the patch and copy the "TIData DDELink.exe" file over the existing executable.

Warning

•  Uninstall your previous version before installing this version. Your settings will be kept.
